Why was the Foundation created?

The Foundation was created in 2011 by community members who wanted to enhance the educational opportunities for students within the district.

What do we do?

We seek out and fund forward-thinking projects proposed by our teachers, providing unique experiences that fall beyond the scope of the current curriculum.

Is the Foundation part of the PTA?

No. Our goal is to work collaboratively with the PTA and the school district.

How does the Foundation interact with the School District?

The Foundation works closely with building principals and the Superintendent on evaluating proposals and encouraging applications from teachers.

How do we raise our funds?

Our projects are supported entirely through fundraisers and donations. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non‐profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.

How can you get involved?

The Foundation is always looking for new members to participate in fundraising, project evaluation, and grant-writing efforts, and we accept donations at any time. New ideas from parents and community members are always welcome.

Will the Foundation accept money from my company’s matching gift program?

Absolutely.
